  • Assistant Education Center Coordinator

The Assistant Coordinator will support the Center Coordinator and the Education Staff in delivering literacy services to students. This position is directly related to management policies and general business operations of Literacy Partners, Inc., its students, and volunteers.

  • Assistant to the Executive Director

This position is responsible for maintaining the Executive Office through the following functions:
• Internal and external communications
• Scheduling, maintaining calendars
• Board member communications, meeting preparation, and note-taking/dissemination.
• File/records administration

  • Associate Director of Institutional Giving

Work with the Director of External Affairs to develop and implement a focused strategy for seeking, securing and retaining grants primarily among corporations and foundations, with some responsibilities in the area of city/state/federal government sources. The focus of this position will be the identification and solicitation of major donor prospects through research and grant writing.

  • Employment and Education Counselor

The Education and Employment Counselor will provide employment, education, and career counseling to individuals and groups of adult students (ages 16+) enrolled in the literacy programs targeted for services under the WIA Title II grant – know to the agency at the “HALI Grant.”

  • Pre-GED Instructor

To provide pre-GED instruction to adult students, ages 16 & up, to help them obtain necessary skills to be able to read, write and compute proficiently in order to qualify the GED exam. Direct the program in a manner that supports student retention and daily attendance consistent with the Adult Learning Standards while assisting students in meeting education goals.

Nothing could be easier and more direct than making a cash gift, by check or credit card, to Literacy Partners. While making an immediate impact in support of our mission, you will also receive a tax deduction of up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. Any excess is deductible over the next five years.
